In preparation for the forthcoming NSW and Australian Masters championship races on the Velo calendar a contingent of 4 of the Velo Squadra made the trip down to the King Valley in Victoria for the Sam Miranda Road Race and Handicap. Hosted at the Sam Miranda winery these are new races on the Calendar, and experience tells us that hosting a race at a winery is always a good start.
In Saturdays B grade road race, Velo Canberra put on a good show with Mick and Steve coming home in 3rd and 4th respectively with Ben coming home a form finding 9th place.
Sundays racing saw another good hit out for the team with Velo riders mixing it among the back marking groups with Steve and Mick coming home 12th and 13th and Ben in 20th.
All in all a good weekend of racing and a good opportunity to build some form for the upcoming races ahead.
