Velo’s Steve Isbel has been training hard with Paul Kennedy as they prepare for the National Paracycling championships in April (26km TT and 90 km road race).
Although they haven’t been riding together very long, the pair are combining well to be a competitive force on a tandem. Steve says:
“We seem to be going ok. We have won a few local crits but haven’t had a road race so it is a bit of an unknown at this stage. We also did a Time Trial yesterday and while a tandem can smoke down the hills, going up is much much slower as its difficult to get out of the saddle yet (as I almost fling Paul off the back)!”
Velo would like to wish Steve and Paul all the best in their final preparations for the championships.
