A new road season begins

So quickly 2013 has passed us by and already another season of road racing gets underway. Tiffen Cycling team had a very solid first year under its new name. A number of the stand out results include:

This year we have a lot of racing and endurance events planned. Already we have had riders take part in the Scody Three Peaks, Capital Punishment MTB enduro (Matt R – 9th overall), and AMB Marathon (Matt R 1st Masters), but we have a lot more to come. This weekend we have riders taking part in the Snowy Ultimate challenge which is a fantastic Sportif through the Snowy Mountain high country around Jindabyne and Thredbo. Next month the Uriarra Roubaix is on the agenda. This event is always a favorite for members of Tiffen Cycling Team, having won the A grade event for the past two years. This year the race will be held on the day before the Professional Paris Roubaix in France so we are sure it will attract a big field of inspired riders.

In May the team returns to Cootamundra for the Coota Haycarters, with hopes to capture some results in this hotly contested handicap after returning empty handed last year. Later that month the team will also line up at the Vets Gunning Two day tour  looking to repeat the win from last year in well organised and fun event.

In between some of these bigger events on the calendar the team will also take part in the local Interclub Road Point-Score and you will be sure to see us out and about in some of the great Canberra Bunches around town. If you see us be sure to say hi.
